Neighborhood Assembly
The Assemblée de Quartier (AQ) project is in line with the mission assigned to the Table de Quartier. It follows on from its last activity report (2021-2022), responding to the social fragility brought about by the health context during the pandemic and to the improvement in citizen mobilization.
QA is about providing a forum for sharing information and exchanging views on common issues and challenges. On Wednesday, October 26, 2022, the first post-pandemic QA was held. Residents and community organizations from the Parc-Extension neighborhood were asked to vote on the Table’s next priority project, a new community center.
In the same vein, a second (QA) was organized in June 2023, around the statement of change that the realization of the new community center project could bring. A consultation exercise was carried out in the presence of a number of stakeholders, starting with residents, who participated actively.
The Table de quartier team plans to organize other QAs in line with the community’s need for concerted action on local issues.
